Devotees on MySpace? VW Buses. Oh, and a new poem about Ratha Yatra
Hey! Welcome to October! It’s getting chilly at nights and maybe it’s time to throw on that extra blanket. I personally love sleeping with the window open in the Fall if I can curl up with an extra fluffy blanket. But then there’s winter. We’ll not go there. Winter and I do not get along.
MySpace.
Anyway, with recently being added to Planet ISKCON, I’m assuming that at least a few more devotees are reading my blog… or at least noticing that it exists.
So I thought I’d toss my MySpace page out there. It’s here.
Do what you like with that.
VW Buses.
My friend Elisabeth told me that a Srila Prabhupada letter was posted yesterday on the blog Prabhupada Letters that mentioned VW Buses. Specifically, Srila Prabhupada said, “These Volkswagen buses are very nice.”
And yes, Srila Prabhupada, I whole-hearted agree. These Volkswagen buses are very nice! However, These Volkswagen buses’ transmission are very expensive. My bus is still in the shop and if it turns out to be the transmission (as opposed to the clutch), it will cost me $1500. And that’s roughly $1500 more than I have.
The first automobile that Srila Prabhupada rode in when he came to America was a VW Bus. It took him from Boston to Butler, PA. How about that.
Poem.
Also, as the regulars know, I write poems. My newest is about Ratha-yatra. I can’t say that it’s all that deep or that some amazing kaviraj realizations are flowing forth. But it is … whatever it is.
It’s called “Auspicious” and it’s not for everybody. But maybe you’ll like it.
Click on it to make it bigger, if you please.
