Bhakta Corey and unsubscribing from equality
Corey prabhu,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
I was very much delighted to notice that you have returned to the fold. When you deleted your blog, I was very concerned. But it is very nice to see that you are once again posting many realizations.
In one of your latest posts entitled, “An unsubscription from the theory of equality” you asked “If we are all equal, then doesn’t that contradict the varnasrama system laid out in Srila Prabhupada’s books?”
I realize that I am a fringie and you won’t take what I’m saying seriously, however, what you are describing is not varnasrama-dharma, but the caste system. Srila Prabhupada was very against the caste system because it focused on the bodily conception of life where we, because of our births, are not equal.
In varnasrama-dharma, we, as equals, are working according to our propensities, all equally serving Sri Krishna. If you would like to be a part of a society that very much unsubscribes for such things as equality, perhaps you would like India, where the caste system, which is an affront to Srila Prabhupada, Lord Caitanya and the Vedas, is still being practiced today. Or perhaps you would rather Italy 1922-1943.
Your servant,
Bhakta Eric
ps – If you are sincerely asking these questions, which I believe you certainly are, why do you not allow comments on your blog so that they may be answered by the assembled devotees?
